WHAT IS INCLUDED?

BEFORE YOUR TRIP

• Volunteer Handbook:

The handbook guides provides helpful tips to prepare you for your trip. Your handbook will cover health, safety, visa, host family information, worksite and activity calendar.

• ICHANGE Coordinator:

Our coordinators will be available to guide you throughout your volunteer experience.

DURING YOUR TRIP

• Housing:

You will be placed in a host family that will have all basic accommodations.

• Food:

Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

• Transportation:

Airport pick up and drop off, bus to project location, public transportation to worksite and activities are included.

• Activities:

Weekend activities are included but vary depending on dates and location. In-country support: We offer 24/7 support during your stay in Peru.

• Other:

T-Shirt, Lab Coat for Health and Medical volunteers and Prepaid cellphone per host family

AFTER YOUR TRIP

• Reference letter:

Upon request, we will provide you a letter for your participation in our volunteer projects. We do require 2-4 weeks for your letter to be completed.

• Certificate of Project Completion:

Volunteers who have successfully completed the project will receive a certificate.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED?

• The following are not included in the project fee:

airfare, travel medical insurance, visas, weekend travel and any other miscellaneous spending.

• HOW TO PAY?

You can pay for your project fee via bank wire, United States Postal Service money order or checks.

OPERATION COST

  • Salaries and wages for our hardworking staff to support and assist volunteers and communities.
  • Included in your volunteer fee is comfortable accommodation with a host family and three meals each day
  • Money is spent on transportation for volunteers and staff necessary to run our projects
  • Your fee also contributes to donations at your worksite.
  • To make a lasting impact, our fee helps with tools and equipment needed to facilitate our projects, including things like teaching materials, medical supplies, animal feed, medical campaigns and much more!

MARKETING & ADMINISTRATION

  • Good marketing helps volunteers find the right project to join
  • Training: We train our coordinators with the knowledge to answer your questions and help prepare you for your trip
  • We manage our projects carefully to ensure that they are responsible and sustainable, to create and positive and long-term change
  • We continuously investing in our website to keep everyone informed and up to date with everything you need to know

PROFIT FOR NEW PROJECTS

  • We carry out wide research when developing new projects and spend time analyzing the viability and impact
  • We invest in all of the equipment and resources required to get a new project started and maintain it properly
  • Our profits help us to continue supporting local communities and maintain them even in the absence of volunteers
  • We use our profits to support our partner governmental organizations, Ministerio de Salud y Educación Trujillo and local non-profits
